Range Parents was birthed in January of 2021 when program coordinator, Lana Morrow and Program Assistant, Dana Mitchell, who were currently facilitating Circle of Parents support groups on the Iron Range, decided to take their community support a step further. After graduating from their training and certification in Circle of Security Parenting. Lana and Dana joined their services together to form Range Parents. Along the journey, Program Assistant Yvonne West and Certified Facilitator Tina Johnson were added to the team. In January of 2022, Range Parents added to their offered services list bringing fourth their One-on-One Parent and Family Support Services.
May of 2022 marked the first Range Parents Advisory Team regular meeting. This team is comprised of several local professionals representing various community non-profits and service agencies such as AEOA, North St. Loius County, Bambini Room, United Way, Lutheran Social Services, and MidRange CD Services.
The purpose of the Range Parents Advisory Team is to connect our services here at Range Parents with as many other local communities services and agencies as we can to be able to provide the best support possible for those we serve. Our goal is to become a community ourselves of people who work hard to better the area we live and the people who live within it.
When a group of people come together with a common purpose, great things evolve!
