It's April!
April has come, along with many new and exciting things here at Range Parents! Over the past 2 months we have been working hard on some great new things we are finally ready to announce!
New Fiscal Sponsorship
As of Friday, March 25th 2022, Range Parents officially signed a Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement with Lutheran Social Services (LSS) of Minnesota! This will allow Range Parents to be under the umbrella of services at LSS, and will allow us to maintain non-profit (501-C3) status through them. We are very excited about this partnership and look forward to what the future has in store for the potentials of expanding our parent and family support services.
New Range Parents Advisory Team
With all the great changes taking place, Range Parents has established our own Range Parents Advisory Team! This team will meet monthly to support all activities planned and underway at Range Parents including our Circle of Parents Support Groups, our Circles of Security Parenting Courses, and our One-on-One Parents and Family Support Services! This will be a closed committee, however, anyone is invited to apply for a seat on our Advisory Team here. All applications will be reviewed by the current existing Advisory Team at our next meeting. Range Parents will hold an anti-discrimination policy for this process.
One-on-One Parents and Family Support Services
Range Parents is very excited to announce the official introduction of our One-on-One Parents and Family Support Services! This will allow individuals in the community to receive additional, personalized support from our facilitator team! If you would like to make a referral to this program, please complete our online referral form here!
Current Circle of Parents Support Groups
As we are looking forward to what the future will bring for us with our new Fiscal Sponsor and the reintroduction of in person groups with the decline in numbers for COVID-19 cases, we have been restructuring our current Circle of Parents support groups. We have merged some of our groups together to consolidate the work load on our facilitators as we plan for big things to come! Many of which are already in the works! If you would like to refer someone to our Circle of Parents Support Groups, please complete our program registration form here! Mental Health Parent Support-Wednesdays 10:30am-11:30am on Zoom
Parents in Recovery Support-Fridays 4:00pm-6:00pm at MidRange in Hibbing
Parents with Teens Supports-Every Other Sunday 3:00pm at MidRange in Hibbing
Teens Groups-Every Other Sunday 3:00pm at MidRange in Hibbing (takes place while the parents group "Parents with Teens" is meeting)
Spring Circle of Security Courses Beginning
We are currently taking registrations for our upcoming spring Circle of Security Parenting Courses. We will offer one course in person, and one course remotely through Zoom. The exact day and time for these courses will be announced on our Facebook Page the week after Easter and then updated on our website accordingly. If you would like to refer someone to one of our upcoming courses, please fill out our program referral from here! Bridge City Music Festival 2022
Here at Range Parents, we are all about community! If we get wind of a great community activity, we will be sure to share that opportunity with you! One community event we wanted to be sure to alert you all about is Bridge City Music Festival! This is an annual, FREE, clean, and family friendly event that takes place in Olcott Park of Virginia Minnesota at the end of June. This years event will take place on Saturday, June 25th 2022 from 9:00am to 9:00pm! For more information, please visit www.bridgecitymusicfestival.com. Range Parents will have a booth at this event and would love for you all to stop by and say hi! There is also an opportunity for other community organizations and businesses to have a presence at this event. Training Opportunities
If you would like to host your own Circle of Parents group(s), or if you would like to become one of Range Parents amazing facilitators, there are opportunities coming up! In order to facilitate a Circle of Parents group, all facilitators are required to take the Circle of Parents training through their MN State Chapter. Parent Representative Opportunities
If you are currently an active member in one of our Circle of Parents Support Groups, we would like to invite you to become a parent representative for your group! Parent representatives advocate and communicate for their group at monthly Range Parents Advisory Team meetings and are invited to take the FREE facilitation skills training through the Circle of Parents MN State Chapter as able.
Website Updates
The Range Parents website is currently undergoing some updates! Soon we will have all our online forms available to access right from our site! That means if you ever can't find the link for our referral form or any other forms we have available, you will be able to come to rangeparents.com and access them directly.
Community Calendar
Range Parents offers a community calendar right on our website! If your organization has an upcoming event or opportunity that would be great for local parents and families, send the information to us at rangeparents@gmail.com and we will be sure to add it to our community calendar!
